WHAT IS INAMOJO™?
Inamojo™ is a movement therapy modality for children that nurtures creativity, imagination and self-expression through play, while addressing all levels of healthy developmental growth: physical, cognitive, emotional, social and energetic.
The foundations of inamojo™ are based on the eastern integrative map of the chakra system, together with Jungian psychology, and a variety of contemporary Early Childhood Development theories. These foundations are not discussed explicitly in class, but they underpin and drive the key developmental themes in each class.
STORIES, MUSIC, MOVEMENT AND ART
Weaving original music and stories with mindful practices such as expressive movement, mandala-based art, meditation and breath awareness, inamojo™ classes offer children a space where they can truly discover who they are, in the most magical of ways. Each lesson explores key developmental themes of the chakra system:
- Trusting instincts
- Emotional expression
- Self-esteem
- Compassion for self and others
- Self-expression and communication
- Intuition and imagination
- Awareness of self and others
Inamojo™ nurtures children on an inner journey of self-inquiry, self-discovery, and self-expression. The program consists of 9 classes, all using a carefully-structured mix of stories, music, movement, and creative art, offering a different life lesson and life skill. Children absolutely love these classes!
LIFE LESSONS AND LEARNING EXPERIENCES
The stories have been written to teach important life lessons in ways that children can understand, and find engaging. They then get to ‘feel’ their way into each story by embodying the characters in a music and movement session, before expressing their feelings about the story in a piece of creative art.
Relaxation and emotional self-management techniques such as belly-breathing and mindfulness are also taught in these classes. Each class follows the same format, but each focuses on a different theme and learning experience.

A JOURNEY TOWARDS WELLBEING
This 9-week program is woven around the story of a friendly dragon called Naga, who unfortunately has forgotten who he is. Class by class, the children help him remember, while learning important lessons about themselves along the way.
