She’s Got Leggz Fundraiser

As we all know, the provinial shutdowns have been so hard on all small businesses. We’ve decided to try a few different fundraisers this year. I was introduced to these leggings when a friend of mine had a fundraiser for her church, and I LOVE them!! It also turns out that our She’s Got Leggz sales representative is the gramma of one of our students. Small world!

If you have trouble with leggings as I do (constantly having to pull them up, or shave the little annoying pill thingys off of them and/or lint roll them), I encourage you try just one pair and see for yourself. The scarves are also super comfy and cozy, and there are new items available every 2 weeks. Next on my list will be to try some of the other items they offer, and of course, MORE FUN LEGGINGS!!

Order online HERE, and get your items lickety split, or join our FACEBOOK GROUP to see regular product updates, or “attend” Deb’s FACEBOOK EVENT to stay in the loop.

Does Bringing Chocolate Make Me Your Favourite Student?

Meet Halle. Halle began vocal lessons with me a few years ago, and has spent the majority of the past 2 years without her lessons, due to lockdowns. When we were finally able to resume in the summer, she blew me away! It was evident she had been working very hard on her own, and she has improved so much !!

Halle is a regular vocal solo and group competitor in the Norfolk Musical Arts Festival, and has performed in many community and studio events. We look forward to our weekly singing time together, including our new Debi-Halle song mash ups! This little snippet was taken in preparation for Play it Forward 2020 – our studio fundraiser.

Day Camps for Kids

Since our team is growing, we now have enough instructor resources to offer day camps for kids! We plan to offer these camps for PD days, March break, and summer break, including unique registration options. As a mom, I would hesitate to register for a full day full week obligation, as that limits other activities. So, we will offer mornings only, afternoons only, and single day afternoon programs, as well as some out of the box evening programs.

What will we be doing During THIS lockdown?

Since we are growing now, with 2 locations, and many outreach programs in the works, we will be using this lockdown time wisely. We are hiring new instructors and developing new Curious Kids programs!! We will also be refining our registration process for elementary schools, retirement homes, and incoming community groups.

It really does take a village, and we have the most amazing team of instructors and admin staff. We’re also kind of fun ๐Ÿ™‚ Mel came on board during the first lockdown, and has been patiently waiting for a “normal” studio experience. Travis joined us in the spring of 2021, and is just happy to no longer be teaching outside. We are a crazy bunch, but we like to have fun!!

My Sweet 5 Year Old and His First Smash Book

We decided to make smash books during the holidays. My mom, myself, and my boy. He had some trouble punching the holes, but loved creating his very own book! We had scissors and glue and papers and stickers and craft heaven at the kitchen table. I especially love his I LOVE YOU he was so determined to write.

You can create your own smash book as soon as we can reopen!! Keep an eye on ourย website to see whatโ€™s coming up next, orย subscribe to our newsletter ๐Ÿ™‚

We are Expanding to Simcoe!

Our Mission Statement:

“To create a welcoming space in our community for students of all ages to come together to imagine, dream, create, and be curious in music, creative arts, science, and adventure. To inspire, mentor and motivate each and every student to become the very best version of themselves.”

On an exciting Sunday in mid March, just before the world shut down, Deb signed a lease for an amazingly beautiful studio space in Simcoe, with the intention of opening for summer programs. As you would have it, life had different plans which has put us in limbo, but we are very hopeful that this pandemic will be under control in time for a September opening of our Simcoe location, and a summer reopening for our Jarvis studio. Debi Gregan – Bio

PIANO, VOCAL, MUSICAL THEATRE

My name is Debi Lupton Gregan, owner and director of Lupton Street Studios. Teaching music to students of every imaginable age, level and ability is serious business, and itโ€™s what I do for fun!

I began teaching around age 17 while working on my Grade 9 Royal Conservatory Exam. In 1993, I moved to Jarvis and opened my home studio, where I have been teaching ever since. In June 2017, I opened the commercial studio space in Main St. , where we offer all sorts of music programs.  My students love their lessons, and I absolutely LOVE to teach them!  Creativity, motivation, inspiration, compassion, patience, and kindness, are all things you can count on at your lessons.
