Kids’ Art Exploration: Letting Your Creativity Soar To New Heights

Art Exploration is an invitation for our young artists to come and explore in a more personal way a variety of artistic medium.

Usually, our regular Paint or Craft events feature a specific project to realize with precise instructions to follow. However, the Art Exploration format leaves more space for the participants to work on their own ideas and projects. The instructor will be there to launch things, and then guide and assist if and when needed.

As they come in, the participants will choose one of the two or three options available for that night. For example, these options could include some of the following techniques and mediums:

  • Acrylic Painting;
  • Paper crafts;
  • Stamping and embossing;
  • Oil and Dry Pastels;
  • Drawing and colouring pencils;
  • Card making;
  • Scrapbooking;
  • etc.

An Art Exploration session might start with the proposition of a theme or a prompt to get the creative juices flowing. We can also start with a demonstration of a technique that could be used in each personal project. Then, for the rest of the hour, each young artist will be free to realize their version of what is proposed that night. They will personalize it and adapt it to their own artistic vision!

Participants are young creators with lots of creativity and an ability to put their attention on their project for the whole hour.

After a few Art Exploration sessions, our community of young creators will have the opportunity to participate in an studio exhibit of their favorite creations. Wouldn’t it be awesome to see the birth of a new generation of great artists among us?
